CAR SHOW
Saturday hosts family activities from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm that include hands-on Build-A-Truck downtown at North 3rd Street and West Wisconsin Street in Tomahawk Wisconsin. New this year: kids can have their photo taken with a pint-sized Model A created by local artist Natalie Watland or talk with a member of Northwoods Pride & Joy Cruisers car club who will be on hand to show their cars and answer car-related questions. Also, Nelson's Country Market sponsors a Race Car Cake Walk hosted by Tomahawk United Methodist Church. Returning is the 3rd annual Skate Board Competition at Pride Park. Well 2010 is upon us and here goes the opener..what a difference a year makes ! the water temps are a lot higher. Bluegills are hitting on crappie minnows, waxies, and leaf worms. Starting to move into the bays now, use poppers or a small bobber/hook set-up tipped with worm, waxie, or minnow. Walleye has been slow, but it is picking up.Weather trends should continue to improve water temps. Summer type weather has increased the bite...heavy rain slowed things down for awhile but for the most part water temps overall have warmed up and things are getting better ! The musky bite has increased, and it seems like we are starting to see some action ! Get out on the water and lets hear your results !

Well many Musky hunters have waited a looong time to get on the water with this cold spring etc. However it does seem like its finally here !
The top Lakes in the Tomahawk area will be Mohawksin, Alice and Nokomis
If you head north Eagle River etc. Smaller lakes will be a beter bet. Lake Buckatabon is a nice lake and of course all the lakes will be busy if we have nice weather ! The general rule of thumb in Spring is smaller lures, rapalas etc. and a slow retrieve.

Fishing seems to be getting better with the water temps getting warmer. Even though we have had some rain and cold nights. Dave at Aquatic atrs reports walleye action is getting better...3-5 feet seems to be the ticket and they are hitting rapalas. Pan fishing is getting better also.

I know its hard to believe but the opener is only 2 days away. Lots of rain this last week and some warmer weather should help lake temps, though its still cool at night. Good luck heading to the area lakes. If you see any " For Sale" signs on water and they peek your interest let me know and I will get the information. Good luck fishing. Let me know if you are looking for any cottages to rent also.

Hello North Woods...are we getting excited or what? Last week we had record temps, ice was leaving everywhere and now its snowing ! Anyways people are reporting good fishing near the shorelines..mostly Walleyes in the eve. The regular opener will be here soon. Most of the lakes up here are 100% open. If anyone wants or needs info on COTTAGES TO BUY RENT ETC.

Let me know...Seller's are looking to get there places rented and or Sold..Good luck fishing
